We have always had a deep connection to the land, shaped by childhood days running through the orchards of the Wenatchee Valley and learning the rhythms of the seasons firsthand. After moving to Olalla Canyon in 2021, we discovered the meaning behind its name — a place long known for its abundance of wild berries. In 2024, we began harvesting blue elderberries growing just beyond our doorstep, inspired by their long-honored place in traditional wellness practices. What started with small-batch elderberry syrup has grown from a love of the land, a respect for foraging, and a desire to share the natural richness of the mountains we call home. — Jim & Amy

Tucked into the foothills above the Wenatchee Valley, Olalla Canyon is a place shaped by forest, water, and time. Its name comes from the Chinook Jargon word olallie, meaning “berry,” reflecting the wild abundance, including elderberry syrup, that has thrived here for generations. Each spring and summer, the canyon comes alive with native plants and wild berries, creating a landscape that continues to nourish both people and wildlife.
